monday home tour ... Jan Eleni apartment
This Monday is dedicated to one absolutely fantastic, interesting, different and eclectic apartment...owned by New York interior decorator, Jan Eleni Lemonedes from Jan Eleni inc. Jan started her career with small used furniture shop, where she'd put anything lovable and interesting...and DIY jobs are not unusual for her...
Some people said she become famous over night...but it's not true...she worked very hard for years...and it's obvious how talented she is. I love her taste...absolutely exquisite! Enjoy the photos of her gorgeous home...

It's not time to go inside yet...
Balcony, terrace, patio...I'm not ready to give it all up...days are sunny, warm and gorgeously windy (does that expression exists?)
September is perfect for lounging outside among flowers and big plants. As not many people can enjoy the real garden and backyard...I dedicate this post to all of you with a balcony... which can be like a small garden. With cress wriggling out of the pots ... ivy climbing the walls and a space-saving furnishings... it gives many beautiful morning or evening hours, depending on how the sun falls. Here is some inspiration...

passion finds.. log home in Spain
Inspired by autumn I decided to show you this modern, warm and cozy wooden home located in Spanish mountains. This is definitely something I want to have in my inspirational folder. Would it be nice to have a wooden home like this, even much smaller...somewhere in the mountains...spending there week or two during winter?

design style... Africa
It's not easy to talk about african interior style, because it's meshup of different cultures of Middle East, Arabian,Portugal,Spain,France and England... In center of all these cultural influences is african tribal tradition, with it's beautiful simbols and elements celebrating the Earth, animals and overall life.
I can feel the rythm in every piece made by African origins.

monday home tour..Beth Armijo's apartment
Today, we're touring the home of Beth Armijo, very talented designer and owner of Armijo Design Group, who describes her work as fresh, classic and exquisite. Beth's lovely and colourful apartment was featured in Better Homes and Gardens online magazine in a begining of 2009, when I saved it in my inspirational folder.
I love her home because it's quite feminine and sophisticated in accessories, and again masculine in some elements like concrete pole in the living room, oversized lamp or the mirror in the dining room. I don't know if she lives there alone or with a partner, but this apartment nicely shows how to implement both feminine and masculine and still having a great design.

Hello everybody :)
I've noticed one person stopped following me these days..can't describe how sad I am about that. It's because I'm not posting often enough. In the future,I'll try my best to find some spare time to write good posts more often.
I want to thank you for being patience and believer...hoping you know how much it means to me.

perfect home ** savršen dom No1
I apologize to you,my dearest readers and visitors, for non posting for days... :(
I have problems with my pc, and had problems with my internet connection-I was cut out for too long if you ask me. Internet connection is established now, but my pc is acting like the old man with too many health problems. It may take years before I buy a new one, although buying new pc would be cheaper than fixing problems every month. I cannont start my Illustator (and I almost can't live without it),and I can not install a new version - my pc doesn't alowe it. Same thing happend with Skype (I'm going crazy without it as my sisters live abroad and skype is the only way to keep in touch with them regularly)...
Untill I buy a new computer (wishing being able to buy The Mac), I hope you'll forgive me for periodical absence; now you know who's to blame :)
Because it's monday,it's time for house tour. I've prepared planty of materials, including a new category soon featuring home tours in my area :) Still thinking how to name the category and how often to post it. Have ideas?please share :D

DIY ... mantel but no fireplace
Do you have any spare space on the wall? I bet you do.
Well, why don't use a mantel shelf as a beautiful focal point you can redecorate every now and then? there's no reason not to...because you don't have to have a fireplace. I found you a close up of Erin's gorgeous foyer update.

how to use old drawers...
Hello my friends...
I thought you would like this idea of using drawers for other purposes beside the usual. The best part is the very low cost. For example,to make this night stand/extra storage all you need is four legs in any material, paint and if you want some drawer handles

vintage pottery plus my presents...
Almost a month ago I got a very special present from my mother-in-law. I was so thrilled, because it came so sudden and without any special reason...which makes it even greater. I felt like she read my posts about pottery and Eddie Ross's flea market finds
It is a set of vintage hundred-years-old plates carried in my husband's family. They are so beautiful, and very heavy, litterarly :)

my projects..eclectic wall clock
Finally I have permission to show you clock made of music record...and how it looks finished. Those who are following me from the start, read the post where I showed the sneak peak of my little and sweet project
When my father started renovating our family house, there were lots of things undiscovered, collecting dust. Among them were some old records which no one will ever listen. Don't worry,I saved a few of them worth saving.
We decided that nobody will need this record of Paloma Blanca (have YOU ever heard of them?)...and since my sister's room was in progress I suggested to make a wall clock out of it..as a present.
I had in mind from the start to put some Japanese inspired motif, as I know how much she loves the style.
Unfortunately, my father and his wife decided to decorate her room in totally different direction (while she was away)...so at least she has something she can carry with herself...

passion finds..youngster's rooms
While surfing the net, I bumped into Designing blog full of great interior renderings made by Sergi Mengot, interior designer from Barcelona.
I like his sense of functionality, especially when comes to designing kids rooms. Every inch of space is well used, combining everything a child needs in his room - place to sleep and rest, place for studing and of course place for playing and creativity.

moroccan style...colours,patterns,textures...
Every Monday you can read my posts on Enterijer, great and very respectful and popular site about interior design, introducing every aspect of it to wide range of readers. I'm so honored to be a part of the team!
Last Monday i wrote about Morocco and how to implement it's style into your home.
I'm so inspired by it's style...have always been...but think I could never live in a home decorated that way.
projects... my balcony
Before I post new Zara-fave-items-boards,I want to show you idea for my balcony. It was originaly a balcony, but the previous owner added windows,so it's sort of closed balcony. We've been using it as original purpose, but from the begining I wasn't happy with it. I would love my living room expands to the balcony. Few months ago, I made it as a playroom for Bumble, and there's also a hobby desk made by my husband. He's not using it very often,so I took it over :)

passion finds..laptop desk
Hello everybody...
One more post about computer desks, since I'm not satisfied with my own... although my darling made it, based on my drawing. From the start it was just a temporary solution... because I'm planing to buy a laptop.
What kind of desk should be perfect for me? We have a small space beside sofa that's perfect for a pc corner for now. We already had few different and temporary solutions since we moved in

PD projects... new apartment
My relatives asked me to make design for their new apartment. They are building a three level house, but using only the level in the middle for themselves. The 130sq metres apartment is still in working progress, and my first asignment was to help them choose how many light and electricity fixtures they need and where to put them. Beside that, their main problem is to make the best of their 40sqm open space reserved for kitchen/dining/living area. I will show you my work as it evolves...

how to..make the most of your small space
Why am I so intrigued with this topic? Maybe the reason is my apartment of 40 square metres. I live there with my husband and our two year old boy. We're planning a baby soon, but our home is not nearly prepared for it.
We have to make room for kids to have a space just for them, and of course we want to have our privacy (we share the room with our Bumble Bee).
It would be great if our Bumble would have his own room, space for playing, enjoying, studing in the future... Kids need their own space to grow in it,to feel free and not stiffed.
In that case (if we ever manage to make two small, but separate rooms) what's left for living-dining-kitchen area is 20square meters. Not big,but I believe to know how to make the best of it... Someday... sigh
That's why I want to share some of my thoughts how to make the small seem bigger. I wrote a few posts on space saving ideas here and here...
