DIY ... mantel but no fireplace

Do you have any spare space on the wall? I bet you do.
Well, why don't use a mantel shelf as a beautiful focal point you can redecorate every now and then? there's no reason not to...because you don't have to have a fireplace. I found you a close up of Erin's gorgeous foyer update.

Isn't it great? I love all extra decorating spaces...perfect for ie seasonal decorations, so you always have a fresh feel in your home on the cheap.

  4. Wow! That's wonderful. What a great ide! Thank you for sharing, Millie:)

You asked on my blog on how I make the cute little hearts. Well, it's only to copy and paste it. That's what I did when I saw it in a blog somewhere.

Copy this one ♡, and paste it in your post. Change color and size if you want it different.
    So easy:)

    Hugs,

  6. Nina, thanks..it's really easy peasy :)

Sandra, razmisljala sam kako je na nasim prostorima kamin rijetkost..kao i prostor za dekorisanje iznad njega,pa me ova solucija odusevila :)

  7. The vignette on the mantel shelf is beautiful -- I adore every piece!! It's so well balanced and interesting to look at.

I'm not very good at creating vignettes. I tend to either go overboard with too many items, or I don't have enough variety in sizes, shapes, and textures. These pictures will be going into my inspiration folder for future reference!!

  8. I agree with you Kelly :)
Although some people are natural when comes to creating vignettes,I think everyone can learn how. Like the drawing skills as well.
Maria from Colour me happy (and I know you love that blog) wrote a post about creating vignette... or if you're interested you can read my article about it on
