Inspirisana postom na home-designing, odlučila sam da i ja pišem o potkrovlju...na kome zavidim svima koji ga imaju. To najčešće malo,čarobno mjesto budi kreativnost i osjećaj intime. Omiljeno većini ljudi,bez obzira na generalnu želju za velikim, otvorenim prostorijama,visokim plafonima...potkrovlje nas privlači vraćajući nas u djetinjstvo kada smo od jastuka, štapova, ćebeta i uz pomoć kreveta ili stola, pravili šatore kao skrovište, kao samo naš kutak,malo carstvo stvoreno našim rukama. Meni evocira takve uspomene..i znam samo da sam oduvjek maštala sa najboljom prijateljicom, kako ću imati kuću,ali obavezno i potkrovlje, gdje bi bio moj atelje,moja stvaraonica. I dan danas to želim!

Inspired by the post by home-designing, I've decided to write about attic spaces too... I'm jealous of everyone who has one. That small, magic place brings out creativity and intimate and cozy feeling. Although people generally love open spaces,with high ceilings, to most of them attic is a favorite place. When I think of it, it brings me memories of my childhood. Always wanted to have a big house with an airy, bright attic, as my future atellier... And I still do..

Who says that cottages can't be modern and chic? Who says that they have to be floral and cheesy? Not you! You love the carefree spirit that the cottage interior inspires, but you are also serious about your appreciation for modern art and hip treasures. You love old and new alike, and love to highlight them all to expose the uniqueness of each. What better way to show off these treasures than with a light background?

Materials

You have a great sense of humor when it comes to design and even like to make fun of the style itself. Which means that you will throw in a toy boat or a vintage life preserver to keep the mood of the place just like the color: light! The fabrics are natural (cottons and linens) and are light in touch. Much of the furniture is wood or wood framed (the lighter the better, think driftwood!) and as long as it's used sparingly or with modern lines, you even throw in a wicker piece here and there.

Colors

Your true inspiration (whether you know it or not) is the sea... the colors found at your favorite beach: white and light beige of the sand, a variety of blues for the ocean and sky, and greens and pale grays of the sea glass... but the key is white! Your space should feel light and airy and give off the mood one has when at the beach: laid back! The key with Cottage Chic is balance; in one corner there could be a rustic wood table that looks like it could have been found rather than made, but it is offset with a modern vase while another corner is adorned with a modern Lucite piece.

Space Planning

The furniture is comfortable and the layout is cozy. The more it encourages intimate gatherings the better! Just watch out for the red wine spills on the new white sofa! The color throughout is light and airy - and though you love to accessorize with fun colors (the sky's the limit with a white background), the main color seen and felt throughout the house is white or very light versions of colors so that they feel almost white.

Vintage Modern

Flea Market anyone? You know you are drawn to modern furniture and interiors, and yet you really don't like a space that feels cold and sterile. And who could blame you? And that's why Vintage Modern is so appealing to you. Though the backdrop of the room, the walls and windows, are many times white or monochromatic, the furniture and accessories have the color, shape and texture to bring the warmth into the space. The great thing about Vintage Modern is ease of mixing different styles in the one space. You can have a new modular sofa mixed with a great pair of chairs that your grandmother purchased in the late 1950's and the new and old work appear as though they were destined for each other. What's great is that even if you don't have time for swap meets and garage sales, so many of the pieces from the mid-century were so great that they have been remade and mimicked year after year.

Materials

The other great thing about Vintage Modern is how low maintenance it can be — fabrics such as cotton, microfiber or ultra-suede and leather all look great and function even better. So whether you are having a cocktail party with friends, or kids are in the picture, the room and the furnishings can handle it. Because the style harkens back to the early twentieth century, the innovative developed during that time are very popular: acrylic, plastic and fiberglass, chrome and steel, and molded plywood. Concrete floors, countertops and furniture are also very popular and lacquered finishes are very common.

Colors

When it comes to color, walls are seen as backdrops for the room. Neutral tones of gray, white, beige and brown are very common and black is a common accent color. Pops of color on the art, furniture and accessories can vary dramatically based on the person, however very common colors are teal blues, army greens and yellow as well as deep oranges and bright reds.

Nantucket Style

Oh how you love the beach! Who doesn't, right? And so your dream home is either perched in your favorite beach town, or you've brought that favorite beach town into your house.

Materials

Your art and accessories speak directly to the activities that are found at the beach. Pieces of driftwood you found here, pictures or paintings of the amazing views there. Things that remind you of the coast - surf boards or fishing boats - are found throughout the house. The feeling of the seaside is both abstract and literal in the design of your space. The fabrics are natural, cottons and linens and are light in color and touch. Much of the furniture is wood or wood framed (the lighter the better, think driftwood!) and wicker, when done right, is a must.

Colors

Do you know your style? I sure don't. I think for myself as a multi-style person. When I bring together everything I love,it might look un-unified..so many different styles and eras. But it's me! So,to be more clear to myself, I took a style quiz from Homegoods, as introduced by My mod style bloger Jessie and From the right bank bloger  Ally. There's another one,so I heard - better one- quiz on Sproost,but somehow my pc doesn't want to let me take it. Don't know what's wrong. It just takes to much time to load the page... :(    I'll try it another day.

I couldn't agree more,that's me! I love bold and cheerful colors too,as well as pastel or neutral... I'm huge fan of all colors. But neutral maybe suits me most, cause I need a soothing calming relaxing place as my home... These colors work perfectly with coastal details for decoration...

As seen on Home-Designing website, I wanted to make my own post for Harmonie interieure wall stickers and decorations, cause I looove so much lettering and writings on the wall or all kind of surfaces. I think it's fantastic way to define your personal space by adding meaningful sentences, don't you think? Especcially how they've created it. You can see on photos below, how you can use stickers even for shabby or vintage look. It looks amazing. You can find a lot of phrases many of you can relate to.

Jupi,obožavam igrice i druženja...i i i upoznavanja. Pozvala me je,meni veoma draga blogerka Lindolina,koja me uvjek obraduje neposrednošću i duhovitošću. Suština igre je da napišem 6 stvari koje me najbolje opisuju, zaokružim odgovarajućim fotografijama, i proslijedim igru blogerima o kojima želim saznati nešto više. I ja ću se zadržati u našim balkanskim okvirima..
Ali kako da odredim samo 6 stvari? izazov,ali potrudiću se da podijelim sa vama ono ključno...
SANGVINIK
Zamislite osobu koja se sapliće o ništa,a po kozijem kamenjaru ide bez problema, koja priča nadugačko i naširoko da bi objasnila jednu stvar, koja se ugnjavi čak i tamo gdje joj nije mjesto,samo zato što joj se tamo sviđa, koja kao da stalno nešto pametuje (jer je mislim,kao, načitana!), koja uvjek voli društvo i dobre diskusije,koja je stalno zaljubljena, i koja se ne stidi da kaže "ne znam". E,pa to sam ja :)

Život u boji..

Obožavam boje, i ljude koji ih smjelo koriste, bilo u garderobi ili u okruženju. Volim te treperave, razdragane ambijente koji podstiču veselje, osmijeh i dobro raspoloženje. Subway art in tha house

Izvinjavam se što me nije bilo neko vrijeme..imala sam manjih problema sa kompjuterom.. Srećom bili su lijepi i sunčani dani,koje smo porodično iskoristili u radu i igranju na otvorenom, okruženi tratinčicama, ljubičicama i ostalim livadskim cvijećem. Mogu reći da sam uživala, u potpunosti! i zaboravila na obaveze.
Sada,kada sam ponovo pokrenula ovu čudesnu skalameriju, sačekalo me dosta posla. U zaostatku sam sa dizajniranjem kuhinje,koja je trebalo biti gotova, hm, juče :), a imam i dosta da odradim na blogu, na PassionDecor FB stranici, i čeka me par stvari kod kuće koje sam započela - kao npr VELIKO PROLJEĆNO SPREMANJE! buaaaa .Ne znam šta ću prije. Pa razmišljam o tome da li znam pravilno da postavim prioritete, i kakvih principa treba da se pridržavam. A u svemu tome ne smijem zapostaviti mog dragog muža i sina, pa naposljetku ni sebe.
Odlučiću koji principi su mi veoma bitni za organizovano funkcionisanje, pa ću ih postaviti na zid kao stalni podsjetnik i dekorativni element. Mnogo mi se dopada subway art s početka 20vijeka, pa sam tako i zamislila svoj projekat.

Jeste, ovaj blog je posvećen dekoru doma, ali želim posvetiti bar jedan članak stvaraocima onog čarobnog dekora koji sve mi žene volimo da nosimo. Tips on organizing workspace ** savjeti za uređenje radnog kutka

Već neko vrijeme samo razmišljam o sređivanju i organizaciji radnog kutka u kući, najviše sam okrenuta tome,pa o tome najviše i pišem. Kada ne mogu postaviti fotke mog divnog,super sređenog radnog prostora, moram onda neke druge ideje i riješenja..
Na Oprah.com mogu se naći hiljadu i jedan savjet za bolji i ljepši život. Prvenstveno o zdravlju, zatim o kozmetici i lijepom izgledu, o hrani, o domu,bašti, zatim finansijama, i iznad svega o duševnom miru i postizanju istog. Naravno ima i dosta vijesti o društvenim dešavanjima i o poznatim ličnostima, za sve one koji vole da budu u toku.
Elem, na sajtu sam našla reportažu preobražaja Peter Walsh-a, organizatora prostora,dizajnera proizvoda za lakšu organizaciju, i autora nekoliko bestselera u svojoj oblasti. Napravio je preobražaj radne sobe dvadesetpetogodišnje fotografkinje. Evo slika prije:

sada sam dosta umorna, pa ne mogu da tražim linkove ovih fotografija, ali ako je potrebno, postaviću ih drugi put :)

home tour...Jasna Janekovic

Mnogi su upoznati sa njenim radom, predstavljena je u raznim blogovima i časopisima..a ja sam saznala za Jasnu prije nekoliko mjeseci preko časopisa Lisa Moj stan koji redovno čitam već godinama. Jasna je mlada, harizmatična umjetnica iz Hrvatske, živi i radi u Kelnu,Njemačka. Njen rad je predivan,inspirativan, ona je inspirativna, njen dom je inspirativan,kao i vjerovatno cijeli njen život. Ona ga je stvorila takvim, jer jednostavno radi ono u čemu najviše uživa. Ne znam ko je rekao " If you find a job that you love, you'll never work another day in your life".
Nekada se jednostavno izgubim u različitim željama i stilovima, kao da s teškoćom nalazim šta je moje lično od svega toga...pa kada pogledam Jasnin dom u kojem uživa i stvara, vratim se u svoj kolosjek. Podsjeti me da je suština dizajna da oslikava karakter, temperament i iskustvo, a ne da prati tuđe zamisli,potrebe i neke trendove..
Jasnin stan je bijelo slikarsko platno, koje je oslikala intezivnim koloritom, različitim teksturama i oblicima. Sve me asocira na igru, ples po žitnim poljima, djetinjstvo ali i ženstvenost i romantiku.
