{stylish small} casual style ** {mali stan} ležeran stil

 This stylish small apartment in Berlin has only 54 square meters. The most interesting part of it is the kitchen with sitting area. The great use of space, chalkboard wall, open shelves, big window, bench with soft cozy cushions and THREE pendants makes this space my favourite.
The space beneath the bench is used for storage. There's an easy access to everything, and I love the casual feel of this apartment with mismatched furniture and decor. Absolutely cozy!
{Ovaj mali stan u Berlinu ima samo 54 kvadratna metra. Već dugo ove slike imam u svom inspiracionom folderu, ali svaki put kada na njih naiđem, oduzmu mi dah. Najzanimljiviji dio je svakako kuhinja sa svojim udobnim kutkom za sjedanje, a oduševljava me svaki djelić - odlično iskorišćen prostor, zid kao tabla, otovrene police, veliki prozor, klupa sa mekanim jastucima, kao i tri visilice. Omiljeno! Prostor ispod klupe nije ostao neiskorišćen, ali sve u ovom stanu ima lak pristup. Pleni me ovaj ležeran ambijent uređen sa mnogo raznolikog namještaja i dekora, tako je udoban i prijatan.}

{love this space} work zone ** radni kutak

{Kutak neodređen isključivo kao prostor za rad, stopljen sa ostatkom stana mada istaknut bojom stola, čini se tako zanimljivim za pisanje pisama, sređivanje kućne papirologije, listanje omiljenih časopisa uz prijatan napitak i blogovanje...iako zbog stolice nije preporučljivo dugo zadržavanje}

vintage apartment in Milan ** Milanski vintidž stan

The apartment of Lorena Masdea, architect and interior designer,  is located in a small building in Milan from the thirties of last century. Industrial warm coloured flooring, optical effects from old prints on the walls and the overall retro look is quite captivating. The focus was on adapting the interior to the lifestyle through style and color, while the renovation was reduced to a minimum. Only the bathroom is completely renovated, and with the concrete floor looks a bit minimalist.

Full of designers furniture, the space feels cohesive with the same flooring throughout that perfectly matches with predominantly white walls, accented by bold colours to define certain areas.
This apartment features some great collection of retro posters and prints as well.

Ovaj stan karakteriše smjela igra boja koje definišu pojedine oblasti kao i velika kolekcija retro postera i grafika.}

nursery ** jaslice

nursery by nikki via lovelyscribbles

How lovely! I just had to feature this nursery inspired by Alice in wonderland. How cute is that little rocking chair, right? But my favourite part is the storage cubes mounted on the wall. I think it’s smart to have all baby stuff on open for easy access. It works for me perfectly. To see more of this room, go to Lovely Scribbles blog

{Mnogo je slatka soba za curicu, inspirisana Alisom u zemlji čuda. Mala stolica za ljuljanje je pravi biser, ali je meni omiljena polica montirana na zid. Praktična je jer oslobađa pod, a super je za držanje svih bebi stvarčica na otvorenom. Meni bar takav sistem odgovara. Da pogledate detaljnije ovu čarobnu sobicu, skoknite na Lovely Scribbles blog.}

attic inspiration ** inspiracija za potkrovlje

A-mansard-loft_01 via architectlines

There is something so attractive and interesting about the attic, probably due to different ceiling height the space feels more cozy , while interesting structure of the walls and ceiling encourages creativity in decoration of these mostly small apartments with no interior walls. Once the attic was a dark and impractical for living, reserved for those who couldn’t afford better. Now this is a completely different story, with high quality insulation, large windows and plenty of natural light. Slopes of the lowest parts of space can be used for cabinets, racks, shelves or any function where there is no need to stand, like the sofa, bed or desk. The possibilities are great. Here are some pictures of inspiration ...

Evo slikovne inspiracije…}                                 read more after jump

feminine bedroom for me ** ženstvena spavaća soba samo za mene

{Balkan breeze} inspired by French style** inspirisano francuskim stilom

radni kutak

I could write a lot to introduce this home inspired by French romantic style, but the pictures speak louder than words. Obviously this is a corner decorated with lots of love and determination to create a space to fit. A number of lovely details found  their place in this small apartment, telling us about owner’s personality and lifestyle. I am convinced that everybody will find this atmosphere welcoming and pleasing

{Mogla bih se sada raspisati da predstavim dom inspirisan francuskim romantičnim stilom, ali slike govore više nego riječi. Očigledno je ovo kutak uređen sa puno ljubavi i odlučnosti da se kreira prostor baš po mjeri. Iako mali po kvadraturi, u njemu su našli svoje mjesto brojni detalji koji najviše govore o vlasnicima. Ubjeđena sam da ovakav ambijent svakome ostavlja utisak gostoljubivosti i ležernosti.}

{weekend project} cardboard shelf ** {uradi sam} polica od kartona

This would take an hour maximum to make and it's really interesting. I bet you have some shoe boxes by hand, and with a bit of wrapping or scrapbooking paper you can have a lovely shelf for your workspace organizing. I'm already thinking where to put it... Don't you just love ideas this simple?
{Ovo je ideja za maksimum sat posla, i vrlo je zanimljiva. Kutije od obuće su sigurno svima pri ruci...eventualno malo ukrasnog papira, kolaža ili tempere...i eto zanimljive police za radni sto. Vrlo dopadljivo. Upravo smišljam gdje bih ja mogla smjestiti ovu slatkicu...kako se vama čini?}

bohemian kitchen ** boemska kuhinja

It's been hectic around here...ahmm...it always is. But I'm managing somehow. Lucky me - I don't need much sleep. Now I'm recharging my bateries by flipping through blogs and beautiful spaces,and this amazing-vintage-bohemian-colourful-kitchen shelf made my heart skip a beat. So inspirational! no need to say more.
{Kod mene je ludnica već neko vrijeme...odnosno, uvijek je tako. I uspjevam nekako sve da postignem, nauštrb neke obaveze svakog dana. Srećom, nije mi potrebno puno sna. a upravo dopunjujem baterije prelistavanjem blogova i predivnih enterijera....i tu se našla  fotografija ove fantastične-vintidž-boemske-šarolike kuhinjske police od koje sam ostala bez daha. Taako inspirativno! ništa više ne treba reći.}

{weekend project} etching glass ** {uradi sam} peskirano staklo

It's time to reorganize my kitchen cupboards again. Everything is stored in jars I collected over time which allows me to keep cupboards neat. Organisation is not as good without proper labels and it's time to change mine. Perfect and long lasting solution is to apply etching cream to the glass, and the surface turns into a translucent white.
{Često sređujem i reorganizujem ormare i ormariće,jer volim uredno i pregledno složene stvari. U kuhinji SVE namirnice držim u teglama, bivšim ambalažama koje sam vremenom skupila. Jako mi se dopada dinamika njihovih različitih veličina i gabarita. Dobra organizacija nije potpuna bez odgovarajućih naljepnica koje su se vremenom pohabale od pranja...a da stalno iznova pravim naljepnice, ne dolazi u obzir. Kao da nemam pametnija posla. Zato je pravo rješenje sledeće - peskirano staklo, što se postiže nagrizajućim pastama iz hobi radnje. }

{focus on designers} Alexandra Angle

Los Angeles-based designer Alexandra Angle worked in event design and wrote an entertaining guide with her husband, Eliot, called Cocktail Parties with a Twist, before setting up her interior design practice. she creates spaces that are elegant and whimsical, bold with colour, happy and comfortable.
{Alexandra Angle je dizajnerka iz Los Anđelesa, a prije nego se posvetila dizajnu enterijera bavila se "event" dizajnom (prosto ne mogu naći odgovarajuću riječ na srpskom,pomagajte) i zajedno sa suprugom, napisala je knjigu, vodič za zabave - Kokteli sa cakom. Kao enterijerista, stvara ambijente koji su elegantni a hiroviti, skoro obavezno u jakim bojama, vesele ali i udobne.}

{stylish small} 35m2 of cozines ** 35 kvadrata udobnosti

 Designer Christen Maxwell managed to create comfy oasis in just 35m2 as she aimed to create a space that is warm yet modern and pretty but practical. Since she’s a renter and she's not allowed to paint or make any structural changes, the perfect atmosphere is made with functional furniture and interesting details like mirrors, artwork, pillows and lighting. It's all in the details. Her advice for a small space to feel larger is to keep the same color palette for every room. This way you’ll feel a continuation of cohesive space. Another tip is to hang mirrors, lots of mirrors!
I love her bedside table solution. As she couldn’t find what she liked, she flipped over a huge flower pot and used the saucer as the tray. It seems to me it'll be the new trend, don't you think?

Zanimljivo je da, u nemogućnosti da nađe natkasnu kakvu je željela, za tu svrhu je iskoristila veliku saksiju okrenutu naopako, a tanjir od saksije ima ulogu poslužavnika. Ovo mi se čini kao novi hit u dekoru enterijera, zar ne?}

charming white apartment filled with colour details ** šarmantan bijeli stan sa šarolikim detaljima

This beautiful and charming apartment situated in Sweden has only 55 square meters. All the rooms have just the essentials and the apartment has a well-planned structure. It has large windows letting in plenty of natural light so the apartment looks spacious and airy, despite its small dimensions. In order to make it seem larger than it is, the walls have been painted white. Old wooden floor is also painted white. Filled with lots of colourful details and with black accent wall in entryway (it's chalkboard actually) this white apartment looks interesting, like a happy place to live in.

{weekend project} wall clock *** {uradi sam} zidni sat

I have this photo in my inspiration files for a long time. It's such a creative and interesting wall clock; I wonder why I forgot about this idea when it is easy to make. Buy cheap photo frames and fill it with colourful fabrics, wrapping and scrapbooking paper or it could be more personal if you use family photos. Love this wall clock!

wallpapering bathroom * tapete u kupatilu

From where I live bathrooms are usualy (almost it's a rule) covered in tiles from floor to ceiling. Not a bad option, but it would be interesting to see other solutions too. Like just painting walls in a great colour or even wallpapering it. Wouldn't it be great? Love the impact it makes in such a small room. Do you love it or not?
{ Kod nas su kupatila najčešće, kao po pravilu, prekrivena pločicama od poda do plafona. Nije to nimalo loša opcija, naprotiv...ali bi bilo zanimljivo odlučiti se i za nešto drugačije. Kao na primjer ofarbati zidove vodootpornom bojom u nekoj fenomenalnoj nijansi ili čak postaviti tapete. zar to ne bi bilo izuzetno? Meni se mnogo sviđa utisak koji tapete stvaraju u tako malom prostoru. Da li se i vama sviđa ili radije ne biste tapete imali u svom kupatilu?}

nursery in the master bedroom * bebi kutak u spavacoj sobi

Many new parents have to be creative with the placement of their nursery - like we did. When you don't have the space to give your baby (or babies) a room of her own, you have to turn your master bedroom into a dual purpose room. It can be challenging to decorate the room to fit both the adult and the baby - and that's fun about decorating. What colour palette is the best, what furniture to choose, how to arrange it, what decor elements are the best?...those might be some of your thoughts, and here are some tips you may find useful:

quirky artistic home / neobičan dom umjetnika

This eclectic apartment breathes the spirit of Sao Paolo with its interior design and decor scheme. It belongs to lawyer turned artist, Felipe Morozini. Leaving his previous life for one of more intense creativity and expression, this apartment is the perfect place to cultivate his inspiration and reflects his surroundings in a quirky way. Full of life, full of colors - just like the city, he has mixed and matched styles, each piece carefully chosen with an emotional significance. Here, everything melts together to create a space that is truly unique. So many interesting details to examine and maybe copy.

{Ovaj eklektičan stan svojim enterijerom i dekorom potpuno odiše duhom Sao Paola. Pripada advokatu koji se preorijentisao ka umjetnosti, Felipeu Moroziniju, započevši tako novi, mnogo izražajniji i kreativniji stil života; ovaj stan je idealno mjesto za inspiraciju a ujedno podražava okolinu na jedan neobičan način. S mnogo životnosti i obilja boja - kao što je i sam gead, Felipe je kombinovao različite stilove, birajući svaki detalj i komad namještaja po ličnom osjećaju. Sve je stopljeno tako da obrazuje potpuno jedinstven i unikatan prostor, s mnogo zanimljivih detalja za istraživanje a možda i kopiranje.}

DIY idea / *uradi sam* ideja

February is mostly about love and caring for each other, while in my town it represents month of wine, mimosa and masquerade. I'm not into wine as a new mom with a breastfeeding baby. When I see rainy day outside, everything covered in fog - I'm not into flowers as well... and masquerade is everyday in my own home when we're playing with our three year old boy.
I want to make this February as a month of love finding ways to express my love and appreciation to dearest ones. This handmade heart seems to be a perfect gift. The best gifts are the ones we made, then they are truly personal and special.
To make this interesting romantic heart you'll need some cardboard, jute rope and a piece of lace ... and of course - a lot of love :)
{Februar je u velikom dijelu svijeta u znaku pažnje i ljubavi, a u mom gradu predstavlja mjesec vina, mimoze i maškara.
Da napravite ovo zanimljivo srce potrebno je malo kartona, špage i čipke...i naravno puuno ljubavi :)  }

new year...fresh start...good resolutions / nova godina..novi početak sa dobrim odlukama

Don't mind the calendar and the fact that february just started and many of you forgot about new year resolutions...it's never too late for a fresh start. I'm sure the start of the new year symbolizes a fresh begginings to many of you. It's the perfect time to declutter your home and make room for all new
{Ne obraćajte pažnju na kalendar i činjenicu da je već počeo februar, da su mnogima odavno završeni razgovori o novogodišnjim odlukama...jer nikada nije kasno za novi list, za neke bitne odluke u svakodnevici. Sigurna sam da svima nova godina neminovno simbolizuje i nove početke, i dok smo još u prvom tromjesečju, idealno je vrijeme da pokrenete pozitivnu energiju kroz svoj dom, da prostor prodiše..da izbacite sve nepotrebno i stvorite prostor za nešto novo.}

With this post I'm checking off for this year. I had in mind to publish few more posts, but preparations for a newborn occupies me the most. We can't wait to meet the sweet little one, and the baby is eager to meet us, too. I'm off to hospital tomorrow where I'll be celebrating New Year's Eve.
Full of faith that everything is going to be just fine, I'm wishing you happy holidays, lots of smile and sparkles in your eyes...
MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR

{Dragi moji, ovim člankom se odjavljujem sa bloga za ovu godinu, iako sam imala u planu još mnogo toga da objavim u decembru, jednostavno nisam stigla...najviše zbog priprema za novorođenče. Željno iščekujemo malog cvrčka, a i on žuri nas da upozna...tako da sutra odlazim u bolnicu gdje ću dočekati i Novu 2012.godinu. Sa vjerom da će sve biti u najboljem redu, želim svima lijepe praznike, osmjehe i iskre u očima...}

before*after: kitchen & dining area / prije*posle: kuhinja i trpezarija

It's been a while since I promised before and after photos of my childhood home, and now it's the time to show you photos of kitchen/dining area. Changes are always welcome, especially in case when nothing has been changed for decades. I wish I could keep the old wooden furniture, but it wasn't an option as I live in a small apartment. All I can is to keep visualising how the table and chairs would look in crisp white, and commode in bright pink or some other intense colour.

{Mada sam poodavno obećala fotkice moje kuće iz djetinjstva, tek sada su došle na red. I to slikice kuhinje i trpezarijskog dijela. Možete i da uporedite kako je bilo nekad, a kako je sad. Promjene su uvijek dobrodošle, posebno u slučaju kada ništa nije mijenjano decenijama, pa vremenom gubi sjaj i draž. Voljela bih da sam mogla zadržati stari namještaj od drveta i preurediti ga po želji, ali to prosto nije bilo moguće jer živim u malom stanu. A zamišljam sto i stolice lakirane u bijelo a vitrinu i dugačku komodu vjerovatno u neku intenzivnu boju. Roze? uh, to bi izgledalo fantastično!}

love this space ...

When a room speaks to me at a very first glance - it's the real thing! It's obvious that my taste varies from simple interiors to a spaces full of details where you need at least few hours to discover all the beauty. What connects all of the spaces I love is the noticeably personal, casual feel full of character. This living room feels the same. Beautifully cluttered is the hallway too, and the nursery is so playful and interesting. This is the place I could live in!

{Prava stvar je kada me neki prostor oduševi već na prvi pogled. Kontrasti u mom ukusu su veoma očigledni... od pročišćenih, jednostavnih enterijera do naglašenih prostora sa puno detalja u kojima vam treba bar par sati da otkrijete sve čari. Ono što sve te ambijente povezuje je neka nehajna ali i karakterna atmosfera, što se vidi i u ovom dnevnom boravku. Pored dnevne sobe, fenomenalno natrpan je i hodnik, a dječija soba je s ukusom razigrana i zanimljiva. Totalno enterijer u kom bih mogla da obitavam!}

stylish small: kitchen with dining nook {malo sa stilom:kuhinja sa trpezarijom}

I'm smitten with this stylish small. It shows that you don't have to give up on your style no matter how small or big the room is. Just be smart about space planning. When you make a good plan, you're half way done. Write down the purpose of the room, your wants and needs, collect inspiration tearsheets out of magazines or create an inspirational folder on your computer choosing just photos that truly moves you.

love this space...eclectic mix of classic and modern {inspiracija: eklektičan spoj modernog i klasičnog}

Sometimes it's not easy to find a photo of a space that speaks to you. I'm moody today, like a cloudy and rainy day outside. Nobody shouldn't be grumpy about that, especially since I could enjoy beautiful, warm and sunny weather until today. Anyway, it was hard for me to find the space I REALLY LOVE right now, where my reaction should be WOW - I want to live here! In the sea of inspirational files I decided on this space found on ApartmentTherapy RoomForColor2011 contest because it totally reflects what I love in interiors
{Nekad mi nije nimalo jednostavno naći prostor koji bi me oduševio, i tako je danas. Neraspoložena sam, nekako mračna, više apatična...nešto kao ovaj oblačan i kišni dan. To stvarno i nije neki razlog za neraspoloženje, posebno što je sve do danas vrijeme bilo i više nego predivno. Tek danas bi se reklo da je novembar. Elem, bilo mi je teško naći fotku prostora za koji bih rekla VAU - tu želim da živim! tako da sam se u moru inspirativnih slika odlučila za ovaj prostor sa ApartmentTherapy RoomForColor2011 takmičenja jer je definitivno oličenje mnogih stvari koje volim u enterijerima. one home, one story - Paula Scher {1 dom,1 priča - Pola Šer}

Paula Scher is a world class graphic designer whose work is all over New York - logos, posters for big shows as well as hundreds of other designs that make up the visual static of the city. She is also an artist, painting huge, colorful maps with words and zip codes that may or may not be correct. She also participated in designing the Publikum calendar in 2007 in Belgrade, where she got inspired with Cyrillic. It is known that she designed a chandelier, a chair and a coffee table inspired by letters of the Serbian alphabet, but I couldn't find the photos :(
{Pola Šer je grafička dizajnerka svjetskog glasa, a Njujork je prepun njenih radova - logoa, postera za važne događaje kao i stotine drugih radova koji vizuelno upotpunjuju grad. Pola je takođe i umjetnica koja slika predimenzionirane i šarolike mape, načičkane nazivima gradova, mjesta i naselja kao i poštanskim brojevima ne vodeći računa mnogo da li je sve napisano ispravno ili ne. 2007 je učestvovala u dizajniranju dobro poznatog Publikum kalendara, upoznajući se tako sa ćiriličnim pismom. Inspirisana nekim slovima azbuke i abecede dizajnirala je luster, stolicu i klub stočić...ali na žalost, nisam uspjela pronaći fotografije}

Interior spaces with a global wibe... guest post by Arcadian Lighting

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you're full of energy for the week ahead of us. Today we're talking about diferent ethnic interior decor I love to see implemented. Thanks to Arcadian Lighting for contributing to my blog! Arcadian Lighting is the best source for home lighting accessories at discount prices. Founded in 2002, Arcadian Lighting started selling decorative home lighting fixtures and lamps online, and has become one of the top Internet retailers for home lighting products.

With the emergence of new media and technology, the world truly is becoming a “Global Village” and cultural hybridization is seeping into every aspect of our lives. This phenomenon has also been witnessed in the A&D world, as many modern homes are an intriguing juxtaposition of eastern aesthetics with western sensibilities. Ethnic interior décor is no longer a niche trend and has been gaining popularity, since it infuses drama and panache in a home. If you want your home to reflect a more global perspective, then you can start by purchasing ethnic throw pillows, signature lighting fixtures, unique wall art or even exotic artifacts. You can also zero into a theme or a country and then decorate accordingly. Listed below are some great examples and tips of ethnic inspired interiors that have a modern sensibility and don’t fall into the kitschy trap.

inspiring kid's rooms

28941_0_4-9335--I'm all about kid's rooms now. How strange, right? :) It's almost the only thing I see everywhere on the internet. While preparing this post with inspiring rooms for kids, I found a few showing exactly what I wanted for my 3 year old boy's room he will be sharing soon with his baby brother or sister. I've already wrote about us(parents) moving into living room, freeing up the space for him - to have his own kingdom... We didn't do that yet, but now's definitely the time!

love this space...wallpapered bright dining

Would it be great to wake up in the morning, having tea with cookies by that window...watching all year's season changes. Interesting contrast of masculine/feminine: wire chairs and floral wallpaper

puffy pendants...maybe DIY?

Paper, plastic bags, coffee filters or anything crossing your mind can be used for creating a modern and original light fixture. Great idea for do-it-yourself project whether you need a pendant or table lamp to create a statement in your home. Rounded, fluffy, interesting pendants (or any home decor items) are irresistible to me. Allison Patrick @ Zipper8Lighting shop on etsy creates lovely light fixtures out of round paper lanterns.

{reader's redesign} Aida's natural style / {pomoc citaocima} Aidin prirodni stil

 Several months ago Aida asked me to help her choose furnishings and colors for her home in renovation as well as how to make better use of available space. She wanted airy, cozy and welcoming space with lots of wooden details. The ceiling is very low (2.2m) so intense or dark colors were not an option. Light and natural colors with proper lightning could make the space feel higher and more comfy.aida tlocrt bolji

Today I finally got my copy of Casaviva Serbia mag - September issue. As always - it's full of fabulous, functional and cozy ideas for living as well as useful information about design world, new products, great travel places and cultural events. (btw - that home featured on the cover is stunning. I'll blog about it these days)

focus on designers: Marko Vuckovic

He is extremely talented and passionate industrial designer from small town Bor in Serbia, graduated at Polytechnic University of Belgrade where I studied graphic design. I mentioned him before, but now I found his website and I'm blown away with his ideas in product design. Marko has a great visual taste and he won several awards in that field. His work was also published in design orientated magazines worldwide.
Three products he designed that I would love to have in my home:

back to blogging...

Hello there...I'm back to blogging, rested, almost full of energy (I'll explain why a bit later) and happy. As I disappeared without any explanation, I bet some of you wonder what happened? well...I got pregnant. First trimester I was sleepy and everything bothered me and I just wasn't able to sit in front of computer more than 5 minutes, which is not enough to turn it on and write something. I didn't even checked my emails.
