Amazing interior design and storage solution by Tina Kurpez / Karas studio as always. Tina has such a good sense of space complemented with great design eye. That’s just my subjective thinking… blink blink.
She transformed this tiny room in a special kingdom for two little girls, with tons of storage and still enough room to play/draw/study. Truly a room they can grow into. What a beautiful, happy, vibrant home. I can't decide on what I like more: jungle on the wall,  interesting chairs or colour palette.
Maurizio Goviannoni is the creator of this amazing 65sqm penthouse. He describes his work as a blend of cultures, with a bit of play and irony, creating a joyful and relaxing atmosphere.

 Modern, colourful, eclectic and bohemian. Interior designer Ana Teresa Bello is totaly brave when comes to decorating interiors. I tried to find more about her with no luck so far. It seems she works often for Michelle Obama (correct me please if I misunderstud the information) and she's very young - only 25. Very mature style in that age - I'm amazed! ** U ovom vrlo smjelo uređenom stanu uživa brazilska dizajnerka enterijera Ana Tereza Belo. Među vrlo siromašnim informacijama o njoj na internetu, pronašla sam da sa njom sarađuje Mišel Obama. Kako to da o njoj onda ima tako malo na netu? I vrlo je mlada, tek napunila 25, pa sam još više fascinirana njenim tako zrelim stilskim izrazom.

{focus on designers} Jovan Topalovic + home tour

While searching for information about designer Mladen Vračević I found portfolio of another designer Jovan Topalović. His work is stunning!

He designed the carpet made out of several wall to wall carpet waste. Square surface and colours resemble fields seen from air (photo above).
{Dok sam tražila informacije o dizajneru Mladenu Vračeviću naišla sam na portfolio drugog dizajnera koji me je oduševio - Jovan Topalović. Dizajnirao je fantastičan tepih sastavljen od ostataka različitih tepisona, tako da kvadrataste površine i boje podsjećaju na polja iz ptičije perspektive, onako kako ih vidimo iz aviona (tepih je na slici iznad)}

 This is definitely a must-visit restaurant/bar in Belgrade. Pizza bar is modern and original designed restaurant with warm but vibrant colours, handmade and custom-made details. It feels relaxing, happy and interesting. Moto of this Belgrade-based restaurant is 'Your happy place'. Have to go there at least once, as soon as I get a chance. Tall colourful shelf is the focal point and my favourite part of the space. Everything but the chairs is custom designed by Mladen Vračević. All I could find about him is that he works as architect at Slavija projekt . Hope he will soon create his own portfolio site

{Definitivno mjesto koje se mora posjetiti. Pizza bar je dizajniran na moderan i originalan način sa toplim ali i jarkim bojama, i sa dosta detalja koji su rađeni ručno i po mjeri. Atmosfera mi djeluje opuštajuća i veoma prijatna, a moje oči bi samo lutale po prostoru razgledajući sve do sitnica. Čim budem imala priliku da odem do Beograda, posjetiću i ovo mjesto. Zasigurno najviše pažnje privlači zanimljiva do tavanice visoka polica,a sav namještaj u lokalu, sem stolica, je pravljen po zamisli dizajnera Mladena Vračevića. Sve što sam uspjela zasad naći o njemu, osim par projekata po sajtovima o industrijskom dizajnu, je da radi kao arhitekta u Slavija projekt studiju.}

Los Angeles-based designer Alexandra Angle worked in event design and wrote an entertaining guide with her husband, Eliot, called Cocktail Parties with a Twist, before setting up her interior design practice. she creates spaces that are elegant and whimsical, bold with colour, happy and comfortable.
{Alexandra Angle je dizajnerka iz Los Anđelesa, a prije nego se posvetila dizajnu enterijera bavila se "event" dizajnom (prosto ne mogu naći odgovarajuću riječ na srpskom,pomagajte) i zajedno sa suprugom, napisala je knjigu, vodič za zabave - Kokteli sa cakom. Kao enterijerista, stvara ambijente koji su elegantni a hiroviti, skoro obavezno u jakim bojama, vesele ali i udobne.}

one home, one story - Paula Scher {1 dom,1 priča - Pola Šer}

Paula Scher is a world class graphic designer whose work is all over New York - logos, posters for big shows as well as hundreds of other designs that make up the visual static of the city. She is also an artist, painting huge, colorful maps with words and zip codes that may or may not be correct. She also participated in designing the Publikum calendar in 2007 in Belgrade, where she got inspired with Cyrillic. It is known that she designed a chandelier, a chair and a coffee table inspired by letters of the Serbian alphabet, but I couldn't find the photos :(
{Pola Šer je grafička dizajnerka svjetskog glasa, a Njujork je prepun njenih radova - logoa, postera za važne događaje kao i stotine drugih radova koji vizuelno upotpunjuju grad. Pola je takođe i umjetnica koja slika predimenzionirane i šarolike mape, načičkane nazivima gradova, mjesta i naselja kao i poštanskim brojevima ne vodeći računa mnogo da li je sve napisano ispravno ili ne. 2007 je učestvovala u dizajniranju dobro poznatog Publikum kalendara, upoznajući se tako sa ćiriličnim pismom. Inspirisana nekim slovima azbuke i abecede dizajnirala je luster, stolicu i klub stočić...ali na žalost, nisam uspjela pronaći fotografije}

Today I finally got my copy of Casaviva Serbia mag - September issue. As always - it's full of fabulous, functional and cozy ideas for living as well as useful information about design world, new products, great travel places and cultural events. (btw - that home featured on the cover is stunning. I'll blog about it these days)

focus on designers: Marko Vuckovic

He is extremely talented and passionate industrial designer from small town Bor in Serbia, graduated at Polytechnic University of Belgrade where I studied graphic design. I mentioned him before, but now I found his website and I'm blown away with his ideas in product design. Marko has a great visual taste and he won several awards in that field. His work was also published in design orientated magazines worldwide.

Balkan breeze ... loft designed by Tina Kurpez

For today's Balkan breeze I've found lovely, tiny but completely functional loft in Zagreb, Croatia. This loft is designed by interior designer Tina Kurpez, from Karas studio, who finds professionally challenging and inspirational creating cozy, modern and functional home besides the slopes.

Fiona Douglas's home...flowers,birds and butterflies

The first photo (I'm sure it made you breathless) is the cover of the latest Adore Home magazine...which is really to adore :) Inspired by the spring and the upcoming Easter Holidays, latest issue is full of bold floral and colorful patterns. Don't know about you, but I love online magazines as much as printed.
Anyway, I LOVE (as well as many of you) the home of textile designer Fiona Douglas featured in Adore magazine and few months ago at Design*Sponge

focus on designers: Jennifer Delonge

Hello dears...this post I'll start with a quote. Sarah Coffey  at Apartment Therapy wrote:

Very few of Jennifer Delonge's interiors are instantly recognizable as "kids rooms." They look like cool, comfortable spaces that could belong to anyone... until a pint-sized drawing table, a fire truck on the floor, or a wall of baby photos gives away the fact that these are, in fact, homes with small children.

I have nothing more to add to this...except I would love to create something similar for my little boy. To be honest - he wouldn't care much about the looks, all he wants is big playing area...but I'd be extremely happy... Oh my

sara tuttle's fresh classic {perfect home no.7 ** savršen dom br.7

This week starts with a home tour of Sara Tuttle, young interior designer best known for her fresh, classic style. She knows how to create a space reflecting unique lifestyle and personality...layering color, texture, antiques and accessories. The result is comfortable and inviting space.
In 2008, Sara was named one of Domino magazine's TEN TO WATCH...and her tips on decorating are simple yet profound. She says "room should evolve over time" and she spoke right through me with "Find what you love and it will somehow make sense in the space." It's crucial to fill your space with LOVE and items you simply ADORE

balkan breeze...scandinavian breeze

It is time for new balkan breeze post...and this time we're visiting fabulously stylish and fresh apartment of Kristina Duran, interior designer from Zagreb, Croatia. She worked for years as creative director of Croatian interior magazine moja4zida, where she wrote with passion about design. Now Kristina and her friend and coworker Natasa Somek started with Miss Decor studio, making this world a prettier place to live in.
And without further ado...

my style: Scandinavian, with lots of white and with interesting details inspiration: homes and apartments I find through blogs, simple vintage details, flea markets, French windows, past times...
favorite element: I'm crazy about crystal chandeliers and candlesticks, I have lots of them and my friends are kidding me that in the past life I lived in a palace. Besides that, I love my bedroom. Although it's small, I think it's SO sweet and romantic. biggest challenge: being mom and doing what I love. and taking my dog for a walk ha ha what friend say: as I mentioned, my closest friends think I got lost in  time, for a few decades...that I am born in a wrong time period as I love vintage things. That's how I decorated my home, which also has a classy but dreamy touch. I respect minimalism but it's not my style.decorating advice: You'll never go wrong with white. Beside it's beautiful, it is easy to combine it with other colors plus it makes the space seem bigger. With two kids and a dog, I can tell you from my experience  it's not difficult to keep white space clean. Of course, you should find a sofa with removable/washable cover, but it's not a problem at all to keep white floor clean.

Don't you just LOVE Kristina's apartment? It looks like scandinavian/french combination to me...and I ADORE it! Kristina lives there with her husband, two kids and adorable little dog named Gitica (as you've noticed, Gitica is quite a model).

Oh, I forgot to tell you...Kristina also blogs...her blog Miss Decor is one of my favorites. So, if you need a Scandinavian, French, romantic, dreamy INSPIRATION, you go check it out.
