there is something about those navy stripes on rugs that I can’t resist… Maybe I prefer more geometrical pattern, but stripes are timeless, don’t you think?

pinboard in gold and black

My sister needed a pin board to pin her inspiration photos and words, and to help her discover her passions and goals to achieve. So, we bought cheap and boring pin board with update on mind. Her choice is combination of black and gold, and I wanted to make it simple but beautiful even without anything pinned on it, so I went for chevron. I’ve considered some other patterns too but it would be more time consuming. This is the result:

1.I need and want the Truth No.3 in Black by Jana Orsolic. The quote is truly inspirational, and I want it next to the Truth No.1 in white box I already have

2. Earrings are my favorite accessories, especially  if they are long, colorful and funky like these feather earrings

3. I’m all for blue or navy now, don’t know what got into me, and this blue leather tote would go perfectly with my colorful and patterned wardrobe.

4. It’s always good to have translucent furniture in small apartments, and this acrylic side table is my choice for tight space and kid-friendly environment

5. The perfect sofa! Beautiful line… just as right size for apartment… neutral color with bright buttons… looks great just standing alone, with or without decorative pillows… That’s what I need and want badly.

At the time of unbearable heat, we must find ways to cool off. Swimming in the sea doesn't help either, unless it's after sunset. SO how to stand all day indoors without getting overheated or endanger the health with air conditioners (because of the huge temperature differencies)? I always vote for the good old fan, whose sound makes me sleepy while the air flow calms and relaxes. So I looked for some fancy fans for you, not only practical but looking like a jewel as well. {weekend project} modern clock ** {uradi sam} moderan zidni sat

Simplicity is what makes things unique in most cases. This clock made by Agus is the perfect example. There's a piece of wood scrap laying on my desk for a few months; I thought the idea will come itself just by looking at it. I had a few ideas but I didn't want to settle until the AHA moment. And here it is. So simple that I'm jealous why it wasn't MY idea :) But still, possibilities are endless with colours and motifs. What would you create?

Jednostavnost je ključ originalnosti (bar u većini slučajeva). Pravi primjer je ovaj drveni moderan sat koji je napravila Agus, mlada arhitektkinja iz Buenos Airesa, a inspirisana je djelom dizajnera Davida Vederheda. Već dva mjeseca parče tankog drveta stoji na mom radnom stolu, gledam ga svakodnevno u nadi da će tako sinuti dobra ideja šta da uradim s njim. Imala sam nekoliko ideja, ali nije bilo AHA momenta, sve do sad. I malo zavidim...što ovo meni nije palo na pamet. Da napravim jednostavan moderan sat...a mogućnosti za dekoraciju su maltene bezgranične.

I have this photo in my inspiration files for a long time. It's such a creative and interesting wall clock; I wonder why I forgot about this idea when it is easy to make. Buy cheap photo frames and fill it with colourful fabrics, wrapping and scrapbooking paper or it could be more personal if you use family photos. Love this wall clock!

From where I live bathrooms are usualy (almost it's a rule) covered in tiles from floor to ceiling. Not a bad option, but it would be interesting to see other solutions too. Like just painting walls in a great colour or even wallpapering it. Wouldn't it be great? Love the impact it makes in such a small room. Do you love it or not?

February is mostly about love and caring for each other, while in my town it represents month of wine, mimosa and masquerade. I'm not into wine as a new mom with a breastfeeding baby. When I see rainy day outside, everything covered in fog - I'm not into flowers as well... and masquerade is everyday in my own home when we're playing with our three year old boy.
I want to make this February as a month of love finding ways to express my love and appreciation to dearest ones. This handmade heart seems to be a perfect gift. The best gifts are the ones we made, then they are truly personal and special.
To make this interesting romantic heart you'll need some cardboard, jute rope and a piece of lace ... and of course - a lot of love :)

{Februar je u velikom dijelu svijeta u znaku pažnje i ljubavi, a u mom gradu predstavlja mjesec vina, mimoze i maškara. Danas nisam u fazonu vina, jer kao novopečena majka na vino skoro da i ne smijem pomisliti. Ni do cvijeća mi nešto nije, kad kroz prozor vidim maglu i kišu, iako je mimoza jedan od omiljenog cvijeća...a maškare su mi u kući svaki dan uz igrarije sa trogodišnjakom. Trenutno mi više paše da februar gledam kao mjesec ljubavi i da nađem načine kako da svoju ljubav iskažem najmilijima. Ovo srce mi se čini kao idealan znak pažnje, jer smatram da je najljepše kada poklončiće sami napravimo, tek onda su stvarno lični i posebni.

Da napravite ovo zanimljivo srce potrebno je malo kartona, špage i čipke...i naravno puuno ljubavi :)  }

Paper, plastic bags, coffee filters or anything crossing your mind can be used for creating a modern and original light fixture. Great idea for do-it-yourself project whether you need a pendant or table lamp to create a statement in your home. Rounded, fluffy, interesting pendants (or any home decor items) are irresistible to me. Allison Patrick @ Zipper8Lighting shop on etsy creates lovely light fixtures out of round paper lanterns.
