prepare your home for winter / uredite dom za zimu

Is there anything better in winter than coming home to a warm and cozy place? Spending time with family and dear friends, baking delicious sweets and drinking hot chocolate, coffe, tea or hot red wine. If you're wondering what to do to make your home the coziest, there are some tips and inspiration photos
{Ima li išta bolje nego zimi provoditi vrijeme u svom toplom i udobnom domu? Druženje sa porodicom i dragim prijateljima dok se peku kolači i pije topla čokolada, kafa, čaj ili pak kuvano vino. Ako se pitate kako da učinite svoj dom još udobnijim, evo nekoliko smjernica i inspirativnih fotki}

Days are shorter with usualy cloudy sky so our homes don't get plenty of natural light. Enjoy the sunlight as much as possible but in the evening create the coziness by adding soft lighting. A few smaller table lamps or floor lamps on target places will do the trick. Try dimmers wherever you can or use candles.
{Dani su sve kraći a nebo je najčešće oblačno pa u naše domove ne ulazi dovoljno dnevne svjetlosti. Tokom dana uživajte u sunčevoj svjetlosti, a naveče suptilnim osvjetljenjem stvorite prijatnu atmosferu. Par manjih stonih lampi na ciljanim mjestima kao i podne lampe doprinijeće pravom ugođaju. Gdje god možete upotrebite potenciometre ili se okrenite dobrim starim svijećama.}

This is the time of the year for warm and soft colors. Colors of spices can make your home feel warmer, cozier and more welcome.

{Ovo je idealno doba godine za toplu i zagasitu paletu boja, kao što su npr boje začina,koje će dom učiniti toplijim, udobnijim i prijatnijim}

If you prefer cold hues or white interiors speaks to you in wintertime, bring in textures to create coziness...faux sheep skin, wool throws and warm softy blankets.
Fill your home with softy pillows and accessories that make you happy ... candles, mirrors, pinecones, branches, wintery art... possibilities are endless. Snuggle up in your chair with herbal tea and homemade cookies
{Ako više volite hladnije tonove i da bjelinu zimskog pejzaža prenesete u dom, poigrajte se mekim teksturama...krznom, vještačkim ovčijim runom, vunenim prekrivačima i toplim mekim dekama. Ispunite dom mekim jastucima kao i detaljima koji vas raduju ... svijeće, ogledala, šišarke, žirevi, ukrasne grane, neka nova umjetnička djela...izbor je beskrajan. Ugnijezdite se u omiljenoj fotelji uz biljni čaj i domaće kolačiće i beskrajno uzivajte}

                     And just not to forget to LAUGH as much as you can! Have a lovely Holiday

  1. I love that your blog is half in English and half in yugoslavian (or whatever you want to call it these days!) - now I can practice my 'mother tongue' all while indulging in a design/DIY blog haha!
