pink, blue, yellow…sofa

In the era of neutral sofas as the first and best choice to create a well styled room even without decorating skills, you find yourself coveting for a bright coloured sofa or even patterned one. Go with it! and if you wonder how to decorate the room around such a vibrant and statement piece, I’ll try to help you decide. Depending on the look you want, you may want to showcase the vivid colour of the sofa, or make it blend with the rest of the room. The colors you choose to surround the sofa are key to achieving the right design for the space.

Make a beautiful centerpiece out of your sofa by surrounding it with neutral colours of mostly white and add grey and black accents or even dark wood tones. To create cohesive feel, put around the room some accessories in colour of the sofa.

Make it blend by choosing the same colour for the walls, other furniture pieces or large accessories like curtains, rugs or wallpapers. To enliven almost monochromatic palette bring in pillows or small accessories in complementary (contrasting) colour or in bold pattern.

Another option is to go dramatic with patterns and colour palette surrounding the sofa, choosing items that you truly like.

  1. I think my favorite sofas are the blush-pink one in the second room (love that room by the way!) and the yellow buttoned one!

  2. odlične su sve redom. ovaj odabir fotki mi je 'osjvježio' večer! ;)
